The Deepest Freedom: Resting in Rigpa

In a world entangled in striving, identity, and the momentum of memory, the word freedom often points outward—to the removal of obstacles, the end of oppression, or the space to live as we choose. But in the heart of Dzogchen, the Great Perfection, freedom is not something to be attained. It is already present, quietly resting beneath every thought, every breath, every moment. It is Rigpa.

What is Rigpa?
Rigpa is the Tibetan term for primordial awareness—the pure, direct knowing of our true nature. Unlike ordinary awareness, which is always caught up in subject and object, in past and future, Rigpa is immediate and timeless. It is not something we fabricate or reach. It is what we are before we become someone.

This awareness is not limited. It is not owned. It is free from grasping, free from aversion, and free from the dualities that define the conventional mind. When one recognizes Rigpa, one is not merely watching thoughts, but resting as the luminous space in which they appear and dissolve.

Freedom From and Freedom As
Most of our lives are shaped by seeking freedom from—from suffering, from fear, from limitation. But in the recognition of Rigpa, a deeper freedom is revealed: not freedom from anything, but freedom as everything.

Rigpa does not resist thoughts or emotions. It does not escape the world. It includes all phenomena without clinging. It is like the sky—untouched by the storms that pass through it. To abide in Rigpa is to see that there was never anything to escape in the first place. Even suffering, when seen from this view, is not a problem, but a display of awareness.

The End of Effort
In the clarity of Rigpa, there is nothing to fix. No one to perfect. No path to walk. This is not nihilism—it is the most tender, open invitation to simply be. It is radical rest. Radical presence. Not in indifference, but in the deepest intimacy with reality as it is.

A Wish for All Beings
May all beings come to know this freedom—not as a belief or philosophy, but as their living truth. May they recognize the open sky of their own awareness and rest there, free from past and future, free from fear, free from self-construction.

May they awaken not to become something more, but to remember what was never lost.

I want to support you in becoming more aware of the unconscious aspects of your life—the deep-seated habits, instincts, and patterns that shape your experiences without you even realizing it. This is especially true in the realm of sexuality, where I believe profound transformation begins. By bringing more mindfulness into this space, we can open the door to deeper connection and fulfillment. Through meditation and ancient tantric practices, we’ll explore how intimacy can evolve into something more expansive, a path to greater self-discovery, joy, and connection.
